There's no denying that summer has hit us hard. It is officially that time of year when even the morning feel hot. I have been trying to get up at 5 am so I can walk my dog and go on my run before it gets too hot! When I get home from my run all I want is something fresh to cool me down. The perfect thing to beat the heat and rehydrate is this watermelon lemonade! Watermelon is insanely good for you! I even wrote a whole blog post about why I am so obbsesed with this amaing fruit. Check it out here!
Ingredients
- 2 cups watermelon
- 2 lemons, squeezed
- 1 mint leaf
- Ice
- Water (as needed)
- Stevia to taste
First blend the watermelon, lemons, mint, and stevia. Taste test it, and add water if it's too flavorful for you. Next blend in the ice as needed to make it as frozen as you want. It's that easy!
You can either use frozen watermelon, or fresh watermelon with ice! The watermelon gives your body its much needed water intake, and the lemons provide a classic taste of summer. Each of these serves about 2 people, so it's perfect to rehydrate you and a friend as you enjoy the goodness of summer.
