I’ve been thinking about getting a Fitbit for a while now! So when I came across the opportunity to review the Fitbit Versa from Kohl’s I was stoked! Do you ever feel like when you put thoughts out into the universe they manifest into reality?! This was definitely one of those moments for me.
Before I started using the Fitbit Versa I was using a few different apps on my phone to track my steps, sleep, and nutrition but they never seemed very accurate. I love that with the Fitbit Versa has everything is in one place and it is way more accurate than the random apps. I find it motivating to reflect on my daily stats. It is a great way to check in on your health while staying inspired.
I go on beach runs almost every day! I am lucky enough to live super close to my family, so I almost always have one of my sisters join me on my runs. It always seems so much easier to get going when I have someone to go with! I think most of that is simply accountability. The hardest part of working out is just getting motivated to get out the door. When I know I have someone waiting for me then that part becomes way easier!
A few things I have come to love about running with the Fit bit include:
it automatically knows when I am running and starts tracking my workout. (how cool is that)
it monitors my heart rate. (so I know when I am crushing it or being lazy!)
it notifies me when I accomplish my step goal for the day. (which always makes me feel super accomplished)
Basically, the Fitbit Versa is like a smartwatch at an affordable price. The Versa is now available in a ruby band, (a Kohl's exclusive color) with a rose gold aluminum case. You can also swap out the bands with other colors! Some other cool features of the Versa include:
You can see steps, distance, calories, and floors climbed
Shows active minutes and time in different sleep stages
Stores and plays 300+ songs
See call, text or calendar notifications
Wireless Bluetooth
Water resistant for up to 50M (love that I can swim or shower with it on!)
You can record your female cycle
The sleep tracker is one of my favorite features. I couldn’t figure out why I was feeling so exhausted lately. I was going through a funk; I had way less motivation to workout, was having trouble focusing, craving crappy foods, the list can go on and on. But when I looked at the Fitbit app and saw that for the last week straight I was getting less than 5 hours of sleep it was a wake-up call. I knew I was sleeping less because I was busy with moving and traveling but seeing the stats made it SO obvious that my lack of sleep of the root of all of my current problems. I have recently shifted my focus on making sure I get at least 7 hours of sleep even when I am busy and within only a few days felt 100x better.
Another similar option is the Fitbit Charge 3 (which will be released soon!). It is also swim proof and an advanced fitness tracker. The style is more minimalist, so you can get similar features as the Versa in a different design. I chose the Versa because I like the shape and ruby color.

As you all know, I care a lot about my animals. That is why I only feed the highest quality food to my pets. Freshpet has revolutionized my pets’ mealtime. Miss Oreo is a picky eater and now she gets so excited for dinner. I am happy that she likes the taste of this food as much as I like the ingredients.
